REGGAE NATION "More than music.... it's a way of life"

The group "REGGAE NATION" is on a mission to spread a universal message of unity, love and humanity. Coming out of Guyana, South America with a refreshingly mature sound and serious lyrical quality. Our very first CD "One World" tells the story that reaches out to all music lovers. Songs such as Temperature Rising, Universal Children, One World, Cross Roads, and Changing Times are all about finding positive solutions to life's issues. The music of Reggae Nation combines up tempo beats with roots rock reggae rhythms. Members of the group came from various musical backgrounds and were influenced by different styles of music which brought a rich eclectic mix to their music with flavours of Rock, Jazz, Soul and gospel. The band is currently working on touring with their new CD in the Caribbean, Europe and North America.

The Renaissance Recording and Production Group Inc.

The Renaissance Recording and Production Group of Guyana was formed in June 2001 with the initiative to create a foundation from which Guyana's rich music can flourish both locally and internationally. The music industry in Guyana has been neglected for many years, the effects of which is currently being felt.

Some of our goals include:

(1) Establishment of a local music association

(2) To create the Renaissance School of Arts for Guyana's youth

(3) Network with Guyanese musicians worldwide for the development of music in Guyana

(4) Establishment of local music labels

(5) To promote local and international music festivals and shows

(6) To give local musicians the opportunity to record, manage and market their music

(7) To lobby the authorities for copyright laws to be enacted in Guyana in order to protect Guyanese Musicians and their recorded music and materials.
